The challenge being addressed by Manaslu Ing, a new spin-off company from the LITEN, is designing and renovating buildings, with a focus on optimising their energy efficiency. Manaslu Ing is supported by the CEA's expertise in positive energy issues. The first market to be explored is new build construction, focusing on the strict energy efficiency requirements. With the arrival of new standards for old buildings, the business is going to be adapting its activities to the renovation market.
The Manaslu approach is innovative in two ways. First, it considers the energy efficiency of each building in a holistic way, in order to arrive at a complete optimised solution. Secondly, it continues to measure of energy efficiency throughout the course of the construction work, and to perform tests with users, etc.
