Automobile Wiring
The growing complexity of the electronic systems
embedded in automotive vehicles increases the need for
specific diagnosis equipment.
CEA LIST and Delphi Solutions have presented their new
wiring fault detection and location system at the World
Automobile Fair. Based on the reflectometry technology
developed at CEA LIST (which consists of analyzing the
propagation of a specific signal through the wire toroid), this
innovative system is currently being tested by an industrial
partner. The first results are conclusive: faster and more
accurate location of cutoffs and detective contacts, and
optimized repair time.
