UNISIM
Virtual prototyping
Created in
2004 by teams
at CEA LIST and
the French National
Institute for Research in
Computer Science and
Control (INRIA), the Unisim
platform offers a simulation
environment based on
SystemC. Unisim can be used
for virtual prototyping of
hardware microarchitecture.
With this open-source
software, industry groups
can standardise and automate
the design, integration
and validation of system
components for high-tech
products.
Based at Saclay, the
platform boasts cuttingedge
processors (PowerPC
74X/75x and ARM9) as well
as peripherals (system bus,
PCI-ISA bridge, exceptions
controller, flash memory,
etc.) and tools (debuggers,
program loaders, loggers,
etc.).
