ISIS

Two sites dedicated to vacuum surface film processes

The ISIS platform (Initiative Structurante en Ingénierie de Surface - surface engineering structuring initiative), located at two sites, deals mainly with surface treatments.

In 2006, HEF, the industrial group specialising in surface engineering, together with CEA LITEN, set up the ISIS platform (Initiative Structurante en Ingénierie de Surface - surface engineering structuring initiative) for R&D and for checking the technological and economic feasibility of a specific category of surface treatment, namely vapour phase deposition processes. These technologies have industrial applications that include textiles, mechanical parts and new energy sources, such as solar power and thermoelectric systems.
The platform can be used by companies that wish to develop new vacuum processes, validate the applicability of their technologies, perform full-scale tests or assess reliability.
One of the particular features of ISIS is the fact that it is located at two sites: the Andrézieux-Bouthéon site (Loire), dedicated to deposition on objects with complex geometry and very large-scale objects, together with mass production applications, using the "Parallel Architecture" machine and the "2800 R" batch process terminal. and the second site in Grenoble (Isère), which is used for precision layers and complex stacking.
